Our shadows can be powerful. They are proof that time, as we have been conditioned to perceive it, does not exist. Our shadows represent our conceived notions of the past actively affecting our interpretation of the present through fear and distortion. We cary our shadows with us, locked away in our baggage, afraid to face them. And that is how our shadows control us…through fear. We can not hide from them. We can not run from them. We must confront them. They are not who we are. They are who we were at some point in time. We must acknowledge them. We must love them for being part of the reason we are who we are today. We must look deep into their darkness and fill them with light and love. By doing this, we choose Love over Fear. We have transformed our shadows into teachers, and we can move forward courageously.
